Yes, as a matter of fact, I am still above ground and still as grumpy as ever! But the mule still kicks, the sun still shines, and I’ve noted there’s still a meadowlark on the fence post!
For the past 16 months I’ve been out of pocket (give a country boy a bionic knee and he thinks he can ride a mule backwards – didn’t work). Life is back in good order and I’m sittin’ straight in the saddle again. Recently, I’ve had calls wanting to know if my book Along the Back Roads of Yesterday is still available. Yes, it is. It can be found on Amazon or Barnes and Noble. Or contact me. The book has done well. The book is stories of donkeys, boys and dogs as I grew up in late 1930′, 1940′s. My friend Henry and I lived these stories. Life was good back then.
If you’re looking for a way to escape the burdens of today, or maybe you just want a chance to remember what it was like back then, grab a copy and get lost in the stories of friends, Henry, Oris, donkeys, a bull, my neighbor, Elmer and that rickety old mule rescue lady down the road.
If you don’t have a copy of my book, click the link on the right and buy one. It’ll make me a happier mule writer!
