A peaceful morning

What a grand morning it is. I awoke to the pre dawn, alive with the happy chatter of birds telling stories in the cottonwood trees south of the house. The mourning doves are in full throat. Mr. Meadow Lark is on the job atop the power pole.

And a grand morning it is on this next to the last day of February 2010. Things are picking up around here. Mr. Meadow Lark has returned

Just as day beat a gong in the east I heard a meadow Lark. Sure as shootin’ Mr. Golden Throat is back. I went to empty the trash. He called down to me and asked if Michelle Obama would be traveling thru our home town this summer. I told him I had not a clue.
